Hand in Hand for Sacrificial Animal Slaughter by Sukarami Village Community & PT KMP Employees

Musi Banyuasin – In the atmosphere of Eid al-Adha 1446 Hijriyah on June 6, 2025, as in previous years, the Al Anshor Mosque in Sukarami Village continued to perform sacrificial animal slaughtering. This annual activity was organized and enlivened by the committee, mosque management, Sukarami Village residents, and PT Kirana Musi Persada employees who live in the Al Anshor mosque area by collaboratively handling the processing of sacrificial animals, from procurement, slaughtering, to distribution.

As for this year, a total of 1 cow was slaughtered, which was given by PT Kirana Musi Persada through its CSR program. The slaughter of sacrificial animals began with a joint prayer for the blessing of the event by Mr. Saparudin (Chairman of the Al Anshor Mosque Management) and witnessed by the committee and community members. Following the opening prayer, the slaughter committee began the slaughtering process with the echo of Takbir.

The community mingled in handling the sacrificial animals, starting from the mosque management and the sacrificial committee to the residents of Sukarami Village. Some helped in the slaughtering process, some participated in butchering the sacrificial animals, while others cut and divided the meat to be distributed. After midday, all the meats were immediately distributed to 175 residents who live around Kirana Residen Housing and in the direction of the PT Kirana Musi Persada factory area.

"Through the distribution of sacrificial meat to these communities, we hope that the meat can be used in a more equitable manner. Aside from being a form of worship to Allah SWT, this sacrificial activity is also a form of humanitarianism by sharing with others in need. May this enthusiasm continue to live on and make Eid al-Adha more than just an annual ritual, but a moment to strengthen solidarity and care for the community," said Mr. Saparudin, the Chairman of the Al Anshor Mosque Board.
