PT Kirana Permata (KPT), a subsidiary of PT Kirana Megatara Tbk (KMG), in collaboration with global tire manufacturer Pirelli, conducted a Joint CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) and Sharing Session of FSC-Certified Rubber Benefits for rubber farmers in Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra Province, on Thursday, August 28, 2025.

This event was organized at the Lubai Ulu Subdistrict Office and attended by representatives from Kirana Megatara, including Mr. Hendy Endarwan (Chief Operation Officer), Mr. Bambang Wijaya (Deputy Director of Marketing), Mr. Widyantoko Sumarlin (Chief Sustainability Officer), PT Kirana Permata's Operational Director Mr. Cong Chia and his team, representatives from Pirelli, including Mr. Luiz Polimeno (CEO of Pirelli Indonesia & Head of Global Natural Rubber), Ng Xin Yi Iris (Sustainability Manager), representatives from FSC Asia Pacific, including Mr. Dinda Trisnadi, representatives from FSC Indonesia, including Mr. Hartono Prabowo, as well as the Head of Lubai Ulu Subdistrict, Mr. Taufik Azrullah.

The Rubber Day event, entitled “Better Life for Rubber Smallholders,” featured rubber cultivation outreach activities in the form of tapping competitions, quizzes to hone rubber farmers' knowledge, and testimonials from rubber farmers themselves. During the event, 100 scholarship packages and stationery sets were distributed to farmers' children (from elementary, junior high, and high school levels), along with 100 tapping knives for rubber farmers. This aligns with the strong sustainability commitment of PT Kirana Permata and Pirelli to support rubber farmers and positively impact the environment and society.

At this event, to promote FSC-Certified Natural Rubber, Kirana Megatara, together with Pirelli, FSC Indonesia, and Asia Pacific, conducted a Sharing Session with KMG partners on the theme “The Benefits of FSC-Certified Rubber for Smallholder Rubber Businesses.” This Sharing Session provided knowledge about the role of rubber farmers in the FSC-certified rubber supply chain and ensured that the FSC certification program becomes a shared ecosystem between rubber farmers, KMG, and Pirelli.
