Tuesday, December 24, 2024, PT Kirana Musi Persada again held a TKTD simulation activity for dealing with fire disasters as a preventive measure against potential fire hazards in the work environment. This activity involved employee representatives from the quality control team, material warehouse, engineering, and office in collaboration with the SHE team of PT Kirana Musi Persada. The simulation started at 10:00 to 10:30 WIB. This simulation was held in order to improve the readiness of officers and employees in dealing with emergency situations, especially when a fire occurs.

Mr. Rasyid (Head of Safety Sub-Section) said that this simulation activity was part of the security and safety program that had been routinely scheduled every year.

"Security and safety are our top priorities. This simulation aims to ensure that all employees can respond quickly and appropriately in the event of a fire," said Mr. Agustar Manza (Head of SHE Section).

During the simulation activity, the SHE team of PT Kirana Musi Persada and related employees demonstrated how to handle fires that appear in the quality control area. In addition, evacuation and use of light Fire Extinguishers (APAR) were also carried out. Employees who acted as the emergency response team looked alert in directing the evacuation of employees to a safe point. Employees who participated in the simulation also looked disciplined and well-coordinated during the evacuation process.

The SHE team moved quickly to activate the fire alarm system and evacuate employees to the designated safe point. The evacuation team and fire extinguishing unit arrived at the simulation location a few minutes after the fire report was received and immediately extinguished the fire using the APAR provided by the SHE team.

"This simulation activity is expected to provide a better understanding of safety measures for all employees at PT Kirana Musi Persada, as well as become a valuable lesson in handling fires in the future with a fire scenario that occurs in one of the rooms in Quality Control," said Mr. Frans Kurniawan (Director of Operations).

With this simulation activity, the SHE Team hopes that all employees can improve their alertness and speed of response in dealing with disasters and ensure that evacuation procedures can run smoothly for the safety of all employees of PT Kirana Musi Persada.
